The Senior Lounge is a dedicated space for students in Years 10 and 11 — separate from the rest of the school, and designed to reflect the stage these students are at. IGCSE students are preparing for significant external examinations and beginning to take real ownership of their learning. The Senior Lounge gives them a space that acknowledges this: a quieter environment for independent study and revision, as well as a social space where they can spend breaks without the noise and energy of younger year groups.
Having a space of their own is not a small thing for students in this stage of school. It supports the transition towards independence and self-direction that matters enormously when students move into higher education or professional life. It also reflects how Aspire thinks about its oldest students — not just as exam candidates, but as young people developing the habits, judgment, and sense of responsibility that will carry them beyond school.
